What can I expect when I contact you?

We begin your healing process with a brief over the phone introduction, prior to booking a Consultation and Assessment or Initial Treatment. Please feel free to contact me at 619-865-6619 or via my Contact page.

What should I know about a Holistic Consultation and Assessment?

For a Holistic Health or Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® Consultation and Assessment appointment, here’s what you should know:

Complete the intake form prior to our initial meeting, and send it back to me or bring it with you. Please see below for how to download an intake form.
Set aside approximately 30 minutes for this initial Consultation & Assessment.
The physical assessment is not recommended 5 days prior to menses or during your menses.
The physical assessment is not recommended on an overly full stomach. Please eat lightly prior to treatment.

For a Holistic Fertility Consultation and Assessment appointment, please read the following:

Complete the Fertility intake form prior to our initial meeting, and send it back to me or bring it with you.
Set aside approximately 1 hour for this initial Consultation & Assessment.

Is there an intake form to complete before a Consultation and Assessment or an Initial Treatment?

Yes there is an intake form to complete prior to your appointment. Please take the time and complete the intake form in its entirety, or as much as you feel comfortable with. And please bring your completed form with you to your appointment. Please see appropriate intake form to download below:

What will my first session be like?

Depending on what type of treatment you receive, a typical Initial Holistic Health Therapy visit may be as follows:

• Comprehensive review of personal history & current health care needs.
• Therapeutic Conversation where you will be provided with a safe and confidential space to express yourself fully.
• Assessment of internal organ position and any congestion in this area via external palpations.
• Castor Oil Pack.
• Comprehensive massage, which may incorporate the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® (ATMAT) techniques, focused on aligning pelvic & abdominal organs and increasing flow & energy by loosening any congestion in the abdominal area both anterior and posterior.
• Consultation focused on lifestyle change recommendations, if any.
• Additional therapies to complement the ATMAT techniques according to the individual’s needs (i.e.: Reiki, Cranio-Sacral, Reflexology, Breathing and Visualization techniques, etc.).

Please note: Additional herbal remedies and other natural products are available that may enhance the effects of the treatment and may be indicated based on the lifestyle consult.

Please also note that you will need to complete an intake form prior to your appointment, and bring it to your Initial Treatment appointment completed to the best of your ability and comfortable level. Are there any contraindications to receiving the Holistic Reproductive Treatments or Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®?

Yes. Please note the following contraindications to any abdominal or reproductive treatment:

During menses
Where an IUD is present
Immediately after abdominal surgery – We would need a Doctor’s clearance notice
Where an active infection or cancer is present in the pelvic region, or the client is undergoing chemotherapy for this condition
Within the first 6 weeks following a normal vaginal delivery or the first 3 months after a c-section
During the first trimester of pregnancy
Hiatal Hernia - gentle touch only

How many treatments do I need before I get my desired results?

Each client is different and depending on your overall holistic health history, physical assessment, and participation in suggested self care techniques and life-style changes, treatment frequency can vary. It will also depend on how you respond to treatment.

What should I wear?

Wear clothing that is easy to remove. Clean, warm linens are provided during your treatment.

Please note that clothing may come in contact with massage oil or castor oil.

When should I avoid a vaginal steam?

During pregnancy
Post-ovulation if ACTIVELY trying to get pregnant (great for preparation stages and prior to IVF transfer)
During menses
Heavier menstrual cycles
Acute uterine infections
Vaginal sores or blisters
If an IUD is present

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept checks, cash, and all major credit cards.

Do you accept insurance?

Unfortunately we do not take insurance. However, we can provide you with a detailed invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Also, you can use your Flexible Benefits Card for services and treatments.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes I do. Please note that I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Any non-medical emergency cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is equal to the full price of the session cancelled.

Do you provide any discounts or a sliding scale?

For follow-up treatments, if you purchase 4 or more treatments in advance, then a 15% - 25% discount rate will apply. Please inquire about the specifics of package discounts.
